Today (21 Oct 2024), Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, Deputy Minister of Finance, answered a question on behalf of the Prime Minister in the Senate meeting about solving the problem of direct selling pyramid schemes after the Senate raised the case of "The Icon" for debate. He said that currently, a royal decree is being drafted to amend several issues so that agencies can take action against the main network groups because the current law has loopholes and consideration is being given to increasing the punishment, which in some cases is not proportionate to the damage caused.
